Tsung-Wen Kuo

Dr. Tsung-Wen Kuo is a physician-epidemiologist with a strong interest and dedication to applying scientific principles in advancing population health. He received his MD degree from the National Taiwan University College of Medicine, Master of Public Health and Ph.D in epidemiological science from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, U.S.A.. Dr. Kuo started his career in the biopharmaceutical field as the medical advisor and product physician at multi-national pharmaceutical companies including Abbvie and Pfizer from 2011 to 2016, responsible for medical and scientific support for the rheumatology and vaccine franchise. He then moved on to serve as the medical director for Pharmaessentia Corp. and TOT Biophar-m, responsible for the design, planning, and medical monitoring of phase III clinical trials. His most recent position was the vice president of medical affairs for Elixiron Immunotherapeutics, where he was responsible for developing clinical strategies and study designs, overseeing trial implementation, and medical monitoring in early phase clinical trials. Before stepping into the pharmaceutical/biotech arena, he was the public health epidemiologist at the City of Stamford Health Department, Connecticut, U.S.A., and a medical officer of Taiwan Centers for Disease Control from 2005-2010.
